Yesterday I attended a birthday party for Praimatee Mesodene, the Facilitator of the Oneness University in Queens. I have been to many birthday parties in my life and I must say that this birthday celebration was my favorite. I’ll tell you why. It started at 1:00 pm. At 1:30, everyone sat down while Praimatee gave a guided meditation. After we all meditated focusing on God’s love, Praimatee with the guidance of her friend, gave puja (a Hindu ritual to thank the Divine and God) while everyone watched. While I was standing there watching, I felt peace and gratitude to God. I started to recite the Lord’s prayer to myself. Then everyone received Oneness blessings from Praimatee and others that participated. People from all religions came to her celebration. I am not Hindu but I love being in an atmosphere filled with so much love and gratitude to God and the Divine. Amma Baghavan, Moses, Jesus, Abraham, Mother Mary, Muhammed, Buddah or any one else that we call our Divine could have been honored at this event depending on your beliefs. That’s the beauty of Oneness. The place was full of fresh flowers and food. Praimatee’s daughter sang beautiful songs about God and the Divine. My heart was full of love and compassion for God when I left to go home. That night, while I lay in bed thinking about the event, waves of energy flowed around me and through me continuously. I gave thanks to God and fell asleep. That is why this birthday celebration was my favorite birthday party. To have a party that celebrates God and the Divine, it can’t get any better than that. “For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen”
